The Industrial revolution with the expansion of Maquiladoras through out Mexico’s borders was presented to the nation as the answer to a struggling economy, scarcity in the job market, and the opportunity to enter the globalize market. The predicted gains from the expansion of the “Maquila” industry, was equated with political alliances and economic advancement believed to catapult Mexico out of recession.
